"Young at Heart" Senior Adults
The Young at Heart Ministry of the Hillsboro Nazarene Church announces these upcoming Saturday events. Unless otherwise noted, each event is scheduled from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm (EDT), and reservations may be made by calling the church at (765) 798-2350 or the Young at Heart coordinator, (765)793-7285. Activities are open to all older adults in Fountain and neighboring counties. NOTE: Participants should contact the Young at Heart coordinator (765-793-7285) the night before an event to make sure it was not cancelled due to weather.
October 8: The A, B, C and D of Medicare. This free and impartial information
helps current Medicare recipients make decisions about related health insurance
options and acquaints soon-to-be recipients with the various parts of Medicare.
The SHIP (Senior Health Insurance Assistance Program) presenter is a volunteer
trained by the Indiana Department of Insurance. SHIP does not sell insurance and
is not affiliated with any insurance company/ agency. A pizza lunch is being
served. The event concludes with Harvest Party Bingo. Cost: $3.00 for lunch and
bingo. When making reservations, callers should specify if they are staying for
lunch and/or party bingo. Location: Covington Public Library (lower level), 622
Fifth Street. Note: This event is scheduled from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.

November 5: Gifts from the Kitchen. Purdue Extension of Fountain County helps
participants create a holiday gift with common household items. Cost:
Participants purchase their own lunch. Fee for other activities is $1.00. Location:
Highway 341 Country Café, Wallace. Note: This event is scheduled from 10:30
am to 1:00 pm. Reservation deadline: November 2 .
December 3: Celebrating the Holidays with Friends. This event features holiday
entertainment, lunch, and activities. Specific information will be available in late
October. Cost: $3.00. Location: Hillsboro Nazarene Church, 453 South State
341. Note: The reservation deadline is Monday, November 28.
